These images find themselves somewhere
in the limbo between stills and video.
This kind could be called "living image",
to separate it from motion-picture and still-leben.
Alive but not in a linear fashion.
Rather the image consists of a set of cycles,
each one displaced a bit from the next.
A single displacement is minute but
accumulated it begins to form a pattern.
Especially when larger subcycles begin
to interfere with each other.
The images are a set of cycles, each cycle different from the rest.
This creates an enormous number of combinations
(more than 1.000.000.000.000.000.000.000).
A billion years will pass before it repeats itself 100%.
Thus the image is only partially visible, as
no one will ever observe the full sequence.
Its existence is neither real nor a fiction,
perhaps more like a phantasm...
